Enrolled in one of these courses for 3+ months?
Apply for an Internship →From Enrolment to Employment
Here's exactly what happens, step by step, from the moment you apply to the day you start your placement.
Reach the 3-Month Mark
Enrol in your Upskilled qualification or bootcamp and complete at least 3 months of study. Make sure your course payments are complete or up-to-date on your instalment plan.
Apply for the Program
Complete the Upskilled Internships application form. You'll be asked a few high-level questions about your background, work rights, and career goals.
Pay Phase 1 Fee & Begin Preparation
Pay the Phase 1 fee ($695 + GST) and begin profile preparation with Career Success Australia: resume, LinkedIn, interview training, and career coaching.
Phase 2 Qualification Consultation
After completing Phase 1, you'll have a consultation with Upskilled and Career Success Australia. We'll review your readiness, work rights, English proficiency, and any role-specific requirements before confirming your eligibility for Phase 2.
Choose Your Payment Method
If you qualify, choose how to pay the Phase 2 fee — upfront or added to your Upskilled instalment plan. Upfront payers begin host sourcing straight away; instalment payers begin once Phase 2 is paid in full.
Host Company Interview
CSA arranges interviews with potential host companies. If both you and the host company agree to proceed, your placement is confirmed.
Start Your 12-Week Internship
Begin your placement with regular check-ins and ongoing support throughout. Roughly 50% of interns are hired by their host company, with 92% securing employment within 3 months of completing their internship.
How Payment Works
The Upskilled Internships program has two fees, paid at different stages. Here's exactly how it works.
Pay Phase 1 upfront when you start
The Phase 1 fee covers your profile preparation: resume, LinkedIn, interview training, and career coaching. It's paid in one transaction when you begin and there are no payment options for this phase.
Choose how to pay for Phase 2
Once you've completed Phase 1 and qualified for the placement phase, you'll choose how to pay the Phase 2 fee of $1,599 + GST. We strongly recommend paying upfront so we can start finding your host company straight away.
Note — The Phase 2 fee is only payable after you've qualified for the placement phase. If you decide not to proceed, or if you don't qualify, the Phase 2 fee is never charged.
Why we wait on instalment payers — Sourcing host companies and arranging interviews is a significant financial investment for both Upskilled and Career Success Australia. Students who choose instalments are only put forward to host companies once Phase 2 is paid in full.
Frequently Asked Questions
The most common questions we get from students considering the program.
You can apply once you've been enrolled in your Upskilled qualification or selected bootcamp for at least 3 months, AND your course payments are complete or up-to-date on your instalment plan. Eligible qualifications include Cert III & IV in Business, Cert IV in IT, Diploma of Business, and Diploma of IT. Selected Upskilled Online Bootcamps also qualify — speak to your advisor to confirm yours is on the list.
Phase 1 ($695 + GST) is profile preparation — your resume, LinkedIn, interview training, and career coaching. Phase 2 ($1,599 + GST) is the actual internship placement — host company sourcing, interviews, the 12-week placement, and insurance. You must complete Phase 1 and pass a qualification consultation before progressing to Phase 2. If you don't qualify or decide not to proceed, the Phase 2 fee is never charged. The Phase 1 fee is not refundable since those services have been delivered, but you keep the resume, LinkedIn profile, and training as career assets.
You have two options for Phase 2: pay $1,599 + GST upfront in one transaction, OR add it to your existing Upskilled instalment plan from the date you sign up. Important: if you choose instalments, host company sourcing only begins once the full Phase 2 fee has been paid in full. This protects the financial investment Upskilled and CSA make in placing you. If you pay upfront, placement typically takes 1 to 3 months. Career Success Australia works with 1,000+ partner companies to find the best match.
Most internships are unpaid — host companies are investing significant time and resources to train and mentor you. Some may offer a discretionary travel or meals allowance, but it's not guaranteed. The real value comes from the experience, references, and high conversion to paid employment: ~50% of interns are hired by their host company, and 92% secure jobs within 3 months. Past placements span companies from 5 to 5,000 employees across IT, business, finance, healthcare, and marketing — including NAB, BHP, PwC, Telstra, IBM, NBN, Coles, and MYOB.
IELTS or PTE results (minimum 7.0 in speaking and listening) MAY be required depending on your target industry and the host company's expectations — particularly for client-facing roles. If your English needs strengthening, additional training can be provided as an alternative. This is discussed during your Phase 2 consultation. After your internship, CSA continues supporting your job search with employer introductions and resources. While 92% of interns secure employment within 3 months, there's no automatic refund tied to employment outcomes — success depends on market conditions and your own efforts.
Career Success Australia (CSA) has been helping students, graduates, and skilled migrants secure employment in Australia for over 15 years. They have 1,000+ company partnerships, 2,000+ jobs secured, and 218+ five-star Google reviews. Upskilled has partnered with CSA to deliver the Internship Program because of their proven track record and extensive employer network.
If you withdraw from your Upskilled qualification, you may also be withdrawn from the Internship Program. Any fees already paid are non-refundable, and any outstanding instalments for Phase 2 (if you've signed up) remain payable. Always speak to your Upskilled advisor before making any decision to withdraw — there may be options we can explore together.

Who can apply
To apply, you must be enrolled in an eligible Upskilled qualification (Cert III or IV in Business, Cert IV in IT, Diploma of Business or IT) or a selected Online Bootcamp for at least 3 months. Your course payments must be complete or up-to-date on your instalment plan. You must be legally permitted to work in Australia and currently studying in Australia.
The two phases
Phase 1 ($695 + GST): Profile preparation — resume, LinkedIn, interview training, coaching. Paid upfront.
Phase 2 ($1,599 + GST): Internship placement, sourcing, interview, 12-week placement, insurance. Available only after completing Phase 1 and passing a qualification consultation. Completing Phase 1 does not guarantee progression to Phase 2.
Additional requirements (may apply)
Depending on your background and target industry, you may be required to provide:
- English proficiency: IELTS or PTE (within 2 years) with minimum 7.0 in speaking and listening, OR additional communication training.
- Technical certifications: Evidence of training (e.g. Udemy, Microsoft, AWS, Cisco) for IT internships.
- Work rights documentation: Citizenship, PR, or current Australian work rights.
These are determined case-by-case during your Phase 2 consultation.
Payment options
Phase 1: Paid upfront in one transaction.
Phase 2: Either paid upfront in one transaction, or added to your existing Upskilled instalment plan from the date you sign up. If your instalment plan ends before Phase 2 is fully paid, the balance must be cleared before placement begins. All fees are in AUD and inclusive of GST where applicable.
Important — Instalment payers: If you choose to pay for Phase 2 via instalments, host company sourcing and placement will only commence once the full Phase 2 fee has been paid in full. This protects the financial investment that Upskilled and Career Success Australia make in arranging your placement. Students who pay upfront can begin the placement process immediately upon Phase 2 confirmation.
Confirming your placement
Your placement is confirmed when both you and the host company agree to proceed after the interview. The Phase 2 fee (or instalment arrangement) must be finalised within 48 hours of being notified, or you may lose the offer and wait up to 3 months for the next opportunity.
Refund policy

Changes to program & fees
Terms and fees are subject to change. Program fees may increase from time to time. To secure the fees on this page, you must enrol within 7 days of your application being accepted. Once enrolled and Phase 1 paid, the fees for both phases are locked in for your enrolment.
Placement timeline
Placement typically takes 1 to 3 months after Phase 1 completion. Some cases take longer due to market conditions or profile match. Your internship runs 12 weeks at 4–5 days per week, usually 9am–5pm. Placements may be on-site, remote, or hybrid.
About your internship
Most internships are unpaid. Host companies invest time and resources to train you. Some may offer a discretionary travel or meals allowance. The real value is the experience, references, and high conversion to paid employment (~50% hired by host company; 92% employed within 3 months).
You must follow your host company's workplace policies, attendance, and code of conduct. While on placement, you are covered by Career Success Australia's Voluntary Workers Insurance (Chubb).
No guarantees of employment
Upskilled and CSA cannot guarantee placement, interviews, conversion to employment, or any specific outcome. Many factors are outside our control. Your success depends significantly on your own actions, responsiveness, attitude, and commitment.
Your preparation commitments
To be recommended to host companies, you must complete Phase 1 in full: watch all training videos, complete resume edits, write interview answers, attend all coaching sessions, and rehearse interview answers (approximately one hour daily). If you do not complete the preparation, CSA cannot recommend you and you will not progress to Phase 2.
How we support you
Support is provided primarily via email and the CSA learning management system messaging portal. Phone support is not standard but exceptions may be made for urgent placement issues. Upskilled remains your primary contact for enrolment, payment, and course matters.
Testimonials & marketing
Upon successful completion, Upskilled or CSA may request a testimonial. With your permission, we may use it (along with your name, photo, and placement details) for marketing. You can decline at any time.
Privacy
By enrolling, you consent to Upskilled sharing your personal information (name, contact, course details, resume, work history, career preferences) with CSA and prospective host companies for the purpose of facilitating placement. Your information is handled in accordance with Upskilled's Privacy Policy and Australian privacy laws.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Both parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
